A Full-Circle Moment
Obsessed before I could explain why
Drawing boats as a kid, dragging my grandad down to the local boatyard just to look. Family holidays meant towing a boat behind the car — Abel Tasman, the Marlborough Sounds, Lake Wanaka, Banks Peninsula. When my parents bought a Rayglass 2350 in 2016 it was a genuine milestone, and the memories got bigger from there.
Where the standard was set
Straight out of school I knew whatever came next had to involve the marine industry. I trained as a PADI dive instructor, then spent three years as a dive instructor and engineer on some of the world's best superyachts — learning both the technical side of keeping a boat running properly and what unforgettable service actually looks like.
A whole new world on the Gulf
Moving to Auckland opened up the Hauraki Gulf — creating memorable purchasing experiences for customers, delivering boats, hearing their stories from the Gulf, the Coromandel, the Bay of Islands and beyond. Somewhere in there a strong belief took hold: the product and the experience around it matter just as much as each other.
Full circle
Now my wife Georgia and I have our own family, and we want our kids to have the same experiences that we were both fortunate to have growing up.
